Fitted mine last night! Gotta be drilled and fixed all the way! imo
Only took half an hour in total,  Remove dead pedal panel, position, drill, fix, replace! easy! easy! easy! easy!

If you are talking about the metal foot rest plate then it has to be drill and screw fit.

If you are too lazy or don't know how to drill and screw fit it, then should you even be driving let alone driving a GTI?

Cant see what the real diffrence is apart from the stick on being piss easy to put on? This is my stick on, took 2 minutes to put on . . . .

Oooooooooooooooooooo nice,

Where do you get those from?

aslo while im thinking about it, i'm looking into carbon fiber look VW grille & boot badges can anyone shed light on where i could pick some up? or even if they make them?

Ive has a look on the fourm for clues but i'm either not looking hard enough or i'm being slack

As for the footrest I got mine from a guy on the forum, proper good quality and he also does loads of different designs. Oh and he also makes the little inserts for the seat height adjuster handle. The footrest is a drill and screw job though.

If you take a look at the link, mine are exactly the same as the ones in Hurdy’s post, about 4 down. The guys name on the forum is Gulfstream drop him a PM and he will sort you out with a set for a good price.

As for the whole drill and screw v stick on, I guess if you have the DSG like me your foot will be resting on the plate a lot more than in a manual, so with a stick on it is more prone to coming off.

Stick-on for me.
Those screws look vile, stick out like blind boils and do not suit the rest of the pedal fixings.
As you can see I blinged my well totally with Gulf's jewellery!
More is marvellous!
Just love it!

My Beautiful Silver Well!

Gulf

I am interested in the OEM looking footrest, but not able to PM you (due insufficient posts..?).

Are you able to PM me, or do you have an email or website?

Cheers!

Drilled but the screws needed shortening to fit proper! But that turned a job into a MANS job

Nah I got them from Gulfstream (his username on here), he was selling them on his eBay shop. Got them well over a year ago now so no idea what his username was on eBay. I might be able to look later on my Ebay account (cant now as at work).
