Title: Need to clean in side my lights !

hay-o  i put this post in the wrong section to start with i think lol anyway

Oks my head lights are starting to look mank, i can see dust/muck in the lights between the glass and lights also i have a couple of dead mosquito looking things one is like stuck in top left hand side i want to clean them.

I well get some pics to show the mank

i don't have to take them apart do i ?

can't see a way of you cleaning inside your lights without taking them apart?  :undecided:

is there a way to take all the wire /electrical component out and blast the inside with cleaning stuff?

post in the mk4 section about splitting the headlights and then clean them with IPA*

*test a small area first, I am willing to be corrected if this is incorrect advice

ill try this when i ve got some spear cash just in case i need to get some new lights lol :tongue:

Surely most of that dust/crap is not 'stuck' onto anything, so just needs sucking out of there.

If you remove the bulbs from the lamp units this will allow access into the inside of the lamp units from the back.

All you need to do is duck tape a piece of thinnish tube to the end of the crevice tool/pipe of your hoover and shove it in there and suck all the dust out. The pipe will need to be small enough to fit through the bulb hole, maybe an old (clean) piece of hose or similar.

Worth a go before you take the lamps apart.

Mind you, the flies and sh*t shouldn't be able to get in there, so maybe a hole somewhere?
