Any opinions guys? Used it a few times, but not sure if worth continuing?
-
Do you mean Chemical Guy's Wet Look Mirror Finish?
-
Thats the exact one
You know what i ment
Yay or nay, not sure if i like it, but i have a HUGE tub
-
I'll be honest and say I haven't used it much, probably only once or twice, it was a nice easy product to use. Dan or Guy may be along to give their help, hopefully one of them have used it more than me.
-
is it a glaze, polish wax??
-
It's a sealant.
-
It's a sealant.
had to be the one i didn't mention....

I have not used it, however..
what are you finding wrong with the product?
how are you applying it and in what order?
how much product are you applying?
I must say with most CG products I have tried I have been impressed, even if they are a little expensive

Doesnt seem to give me any extra shine that i wouldnt get without it
Applying with foam applicator, little blobs on applicator usually do a panel.
AG SRP
CG WLM
Jetseal x 2
Colinite x 2
Use SRP because lots of little inperfections i was trying to fill, then just lock them in after giving it its shine..
Just dont think its giving me the results i wanted

hmmmm.... it could be that CC WLM is similar to CG JS109... both products will do similar things
have you thought of trying a glaze like Megs no.7, Ez Creme or virtua bond to thoroughly prep the surface?
-
I thought CG WLM was a glaze? :undecided:

as both WLM and JS109 are down in the sealants section? :undecided:
Chris?

Waxamomo, do you know if Wet look mirror is a glaze/sealant?
Gunna give the car another go at weekend, thinking of substituting this with diamondbrite unless you guys can advise me against it?
Would just be wash>clay>wash>DB>Jetseal>collinite?
-
I always thought it was a glaze.
The label/product details suggest that it's primary purpose is to add shine rather than protect the paintwork.
I tend to go for a coat of CG Wet Mirror and then 2 x coats of Jetseal, with good results.
-
Hmm thats what i thought jay, just doesnt seem to work that well for me?
What you using after, im doing 2 coats of collinite 845?
-
I go for a coat of WLM, then 2 coats of Jet Seal, then a couple of layers of whatever takes my fancy...
Colli 845 is nice to use in the colder months as it's easy to apply.
This time of year I like to use CG Pure Concours 50/50 or Dodo Light Fantastic.

Ok thanks pal, might try a higher gloss wax then :undecided:
