im trying to sort my insurance out today!
I am making the golf only for track use now so the wheels will never be on public roads.
Yet..... i want to insure it to be in my garage. But also if i need to trailer it to show/track do i need insurance on the car to trailer it?
Thanks

You need to speak to someone like greenlight who'll be able to advise on what can be offered.

It doesn't need insurance if it's trailered to events - the wheels don't touch the road.
The insurance you'll need for it is fire/theft cover..... although I wouldn't bother TBH - just lock it in the garage and immobilise it.

That's what I would have said had I not had an immobilised and un insured car stolen.

lay up insurance is the kind of thing you need
as per
http://www.pistonheads.com/doc.asp?c=70&i=5768
will be cheaper in the long run.
try flux
