Guys ive had a strange gurgling sound for a while now, it seems to be coming from the glove box area, so i was thinking the cooling system matrex, but its starts as soon as the ignition is on and continues to gurgle. Its continuous with the engine on or off (and ignition on).
Any ideas or suggestions?

Recirc air flap motor  it controls whether the AC recirculates the air in the cabin or not. part costs about £80 from VW and is meant to be a ball ache of a job
Here's a guide but the pics are missing (http://uk-mkivs.net/forums/t/52177.aspx)

Thank you for you thoughts Steve!
HOWEVER! Would it make a difference if i told you the sound is there even with the climate control off? Just ignition alone (no climate control, no fans whirring, no AC) starts up the gurgling?
Because surely with the Climate control off the air circulation motor isnt doing anything? Feel free to correct me! Just a thought!
thanks!

Can confirm that airflap motors are a royal pain in the ass of a job.

Can't you just leave it in a posistion so it take outside air and not recirculate and just leave at that?
How often do you guys use recirculate? I never use it.
Surely that's better if it's a proper pain in the crack to replace.

you can just unplug the motor plug and make sure its in the open position
