Hi,
My 2006 gti passenger seat occupancy sensor seems to always think that the seat is occupied; and warning a seatbelt light appears on the dash along with a 'bing bing bing' chime.
The alarm stops if the seatbelt on the empty passenger seat is fastened.
I have not yet visited the dealer, has anyone had this problem?
Was it an easy fix? How much did the repair cost?
thanks in advance

Yep, Dealer fix, under warranty at the time so I don't know how much it cost, but a simple disconnection may not be an option as it may interfere with the operation of the passenger air bag.

Stupid question but you aren't leaving your laptop bag / briefcase etc on the seat when you get in?
-
no, there are no items on seat

Crikey!! Get someone with VAGCOM to code out the warning; much cheaper!

soooo lol about £450 to remind you to tell your passenger to buckle up? That'll be one fault that doesn't get fixed if it ever happens!
