hi guys
recently smoothed and resprayed my bumpers
however after using the halfords custom paint mix spray cans and then lots of 'clear coat' ....about 5 coats they just dont have that 'gloss' to them that the rest of the car does!
so any ideas how i can achieve that same deep gloss...apart from getting it professionally done!
cheers

I recently had the same problem when respraying some of my bodywork. I left it a week for the lacquer to harden and then used a couple of different cutting compounds on it as well as a lot of elbow grease. The end result was really good.
It's a lot easier if you can get your hands on a machine polisher, but with a bit of patience and effort you'll get the finish you want

Elbow grease will do it. But it will take a lot of time and effort.

Sounds like you've plenty of laquer on so let it harden and then wet flat it by hand.At first you'll see dull spots on a fairly shiny back ground.Keep going, gently, till it's all dull then polish it up.I just used T Cut and I was really happy with the match (did a pair of bumpers)
