Title: Porsche design 90's
Post by: gtiballs61 on 08 May 2010, 20:54
I have done lots of searching and still cannot find the answers im looking for:

Im thinking of buying some porsche d90's for my mk3 8valve.
they are front 7 by 16,and rear 9 by 16.
1/ will these fit my car
2/what size tyres do i buy(i like the stretched look on the rears)
3/im also buying coilovers, want the car lowered but not too much(as low as the local speedbump will allow me)

Yes this is my first post(virgin),and my first mk3 gti 8 valve,i dont know sh** about wheels and sizes, ive spent the last 2 days searching other forums, and im still not any wiser.

Your help will be much appreciated

You will need adaptors, best tyres are 195/45/16

what about the rears for a medium stretch look?( 9 by 16 )

are £400 a good price for the d90's,without rubber?
they have been fully refurb with polished lip and dark grey

a 195/45 will give a fair bit of stretch on a 9j, mine are all 8js with 195/45's and theirs just a nice amount..

400 is good price if they have had a good refurb  (do they have centre caps as these are a fortune too)

your looking at about another 250 for your rubber for anything decent and another 250 again for the adapters

+1

Pretty good price even without centre caps especially with the cost of a refurb these days :(
Genuine metal centre caps are around another £100 if you haven't got them!
If you want to give me your 9's for some 8's  LOL

it was costing too much as i had to buy everything seperate i.e tyres, adapters centre caps, bolts etc
ive just purchased a set of bk299's in black.

I would've had them white d90's if i had known bout them earlier.
oh well
