Title: Alloy advice?
Post by: dr.gonzo on 08 May 2010, 20:19
My sister has bought a 2004 1.9 Stdi and wants to fit alloys. She hasn't got the car yet so I don't know wether they're a 5 stud, four stud or even what size they are.
Anyone know off head? So I can start looking Or reccomend any sizes that will look decent on standard springs?
Cheers!

All VW GOLF MKV's have the same stud pattern which is 112mm pcd and 5 stud.

Offset ET's will differ depending on the size and width of alloy you want.

A typical 7" to 8" wide alloy should have an ET of between 45 and 52 for a good fit. Typically the wider the alloy the lower the ET, down to 45.

You can go higher or lower, but you'll encounter rubbing issues especially with wheels over 8" wide.
