Hi
can any one help me/advise me
i've just bought a set of dials off a mark 3 anv
and fitted them only problem is that the milage is about 40,ooo out anyone know how to correct this
my actual milage is 85,793
milage on new dails is 132,761

I think the only way to change it would be to get an OBDII connector and hook it up to a laptop with a copy of VAG-COM. Then it may be possible.
The ODBII connectors are common on ebay for about 30 quid, i think you an get a freeware version of VAG-COM.

Only other way would be to find a mileage correction company and get them to do it, but I think you would be looking at about ?100 (thats what I was quoted for a pug 306, when the clockset was replaced on that, although that went from 50k down to Ok). Do a google search because there are some about. Only illegal to change if you falsify mileage, i.e. your car has 200k and you change it to 50k!!
