Title: 17916 & 16711
Post by: sushi on 04 May 2010, 21:34
my mk 4 golf gti 99 has been playing up. Not starting when warm and cutting out occasionaly. Took it to a garage and it threw up 6 fault codes so he cleared them and i took it back a week later and 2 of the same codes came up.↲↲↲17916 p1508 & 16711 p0327. Mechanic told me it was air getting into the system after the throttle body. He had a quick look at all the pipes/hoses but couldn't see anything wrong so advised me that it would take a lot more (money) to find out the cause.  does this sound right? Anybody had the same issue ?  ↲Any help much appreciated. Thanks.

Hi was looking at my car today and saw this..........

The connector in the bottom right was gunked up and the dirty mucky pipe looks like its got a got a small tear in it.

Would this be having anything to do with my issues?
