Title: HELLO EVERYBODY

Thought I'd better join now I'm about to buy my second Golf.

Used to own a gorgeous Lhasa Green Mk1 Campaign - original except for a lowered suspension and it went like stink.... until some git rear-ended it and then drove off. Sold the Golf on, too upset to contemplate another MkI at that point so consoled myself with..... a Corsa - I know.

Over it now and ready to go back to Golfland - going to look at a promising MkIII 16V on Sunday - keep everything crossed for me!

Just hoping the MkIII won't be a disappointment! Other half has verboten the purchase of another MkI in case it gets bent again - he wants me to have air bags, ABS etc.

Incidentally, I can confirm that a MkI is as solid as it looks though - for those of you still allowed to have one!

I reckon u shud just sneak in a golf mk1 n wen he asks u where it came from just say "ee santa must hav brought me it for being a gud girl" :grin: :wink:

Hi Hattie, welcome to the site. Get a mk1 and just tell your other half that the mk3 shrank in the car wash !  :wink:
