Been meaning to post pictures up for time!!!
First got it back in november 2008
And this is what looked like (hasn't changed much)
Its a gti 16v.
Brought for £1000 off ebay
With 135000 on the clock and full service history.

Coming from a fiesta mk3 1.8 16v the golf felt alot quicker!!

Then decided to get the vr6 because of the noise!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
But before i put the engine in my 16v blew its head gasket between cylinder 3-4 :sad:

VR6 time, wanted to change the chains but didnt have any money so took a look at the guides and they seemed fine, and looked up the signle chain engines wear the guides alot slower than the original dual chain OBD1. So decided to keep the chains on along with the original clutch and replace both later on in the year :undecided:

Then put a new steering joint in

All done just needed downpipe and a few more things, next day bled brakes and cutch.
Then been put on hold untill i can source the rest of the parts.

After connecting vagcom to the car and realising it wont communicate with my immob box or my engine ecu, i found out that my immob box was a fault, so got a new one and it works perfectly :smiley:

LOL yh they went mad !! lol
Update, ive got the airflow sensor etc, but the misfire is still there under load, im going to see if i can get a spare coil pack.
But sounds nice and goes quick !!

Got a spare coilpack and its runs perfect :smiley:
Need to get it lowerd now.

Maybe not coilpack is F**ked again ill try another second hand, if not then guess i gotta spend £180 at VW :(
