Title: speakers on dash
Post by: Rain on 03 December 2004, 12:48
dont want to cut up the door cards or mess about making door pods but i got 2 alternatives, get the door pod things that replace the pockets and fit some speakers in there or replace the dash ones with some decent 2 ways id rather do the dash ones.

basically how much am i looking at from some good speakers dont wanna blow my head off but i want to be able to listen to them loud at the moment they be off the headunit which is running some pioneers 13cm quite nicely at the moment with no distortion but there in the rear and i want some sound upfront :D

The problem with the dash mounted speakers is there are so small. I have some there myself at the moment but you miss a lot of midrange. I am just off to collect a pair of the trim panels for the front doors from VW. That way you can fit a set of components, 13cm in the door and the tweeter either in the dash location or mounted somewhere like the door mirror trim panel.
