Hi guys
There is now going to be alot of work underway on the golf, and it will be kept in my garage for a while now? Is there an insurance policy i can take out where it covers the car while in the garage, yet a pay when i want to take it out?
Thanks
Jake

Low mileage policy ;)

Is that probably the best way to go about doing it?
will the insurance be pretty low with a low mileage policy? As i was thinking about just cancelling the insurance completely until the builds done! But it would not feel great having no insurance on the car incase it was stolen from the garage

Give Adrian Flux or HIC a call, they've got an underwriter Trinity Lane that kind of specialise in classic/lower mileage policies.
I barely drive my MK2 - only about 4000 miles per year and a low mileage policy for sub 6k annual miles is about £350 (mods declared/24 yrs old/4yrs ncb).

This unfortnantely happened to Horney and his car got stolen = no car and no money
Deffo not worth the risk!!
You've put too much time and effort into the car. A couple of hundred quid for insurance is a pittance compared to what you'd lose

yeah i completely agree rhyso.
I dont want to lose it for the sake of a few hundred quid.
I will give a few people a call this week and see what quotes i get. Thanks for the tips and advice ben
