Don't know how your bank holiday Monday is going but thanks to someone paying zero attention while reversing in the car park, my GTi now has a severly bruised and scarred bottom
Lucky it was a low speed impact, and no one was hurt, although I spent about 10 minutes trying to calm the elderly driver.
Looks like I know where I will be come Saturday - getting a repair quote
Sad for my pride and joy but old enough to know it is only a car and bigger things to worry about in the world to get too huffed up about.

Sorry to hear that. Makes you wonder though, if they cannot see something the size of a bloody car, they shouldn't be driving!

I have to admit, I try and park no where near people these days, if I can. Sorry to hear about that. It would gut me if that happened. I suppose it is lucky that they didn't just drive off.

I nearly had the same thing at the tip the other week. Some old git was reversing into the bay but clearly didn't have enough lock on and was headed straight for my rear nearside corner. Fortunately, I had just got back from carrying my stuff to the skip so banged on his bonnet to get him to stop, which he did. He then got out and thanked me!!!! Another bloke who was watching commented how he'd picked the best car in the car park to "hit".
I must admit I'd have been really annoyed. I can accept people making mistakes and having accidents whilst out driving but not being able to park is unforgivable in my book!!!!

Gutted for you mate. I find the best way to avoid these situations is to take the other halfs car which doesn't have a straight panel on it anyway.
