Title: SWITCH LIGHTING CHANGING THE LEDS?

Hi guys probably like my tenth post on this but im useless with this crap.... With regards to leds inside the switches ie rear heated window switch and electric window switches i have been told that if i use a 3mm 12v led this will be ok can somone clarify this? And if so will these ones work as my understanding is all i need t d is cut the origional Led and solder the blue or whatever 1 on?

if for the mk3 then yes, how bright do you want them to be? also they may pop even if they are 12v as it happened to me then i used a resistor and it worked for me. the higher the Luminous Intensity the more brighter the light will be. what colour are you after?
