Title: Alloy size question

I've got a chance of some 7J x 17" 112x50 alloys which I'm hoping to use as winter wheel rims. I know the std 17" Golf GTI Monzas are 71/2 J. My question is, would the 7J's fit and be alright on the GTI?

They should be fine. My old man uses 6.5" x 16" winter wheels on his Mk5 with the same sized beakes, so 7" x 17" should be OK.
Just check they clear the front brakes as the style of the wheel and back-cut on the spoke can affect things...but you *should* be fine.
