Title: mk3 golf gti 8v-vr6 conversion? also hello :)
Post by: deans2k8 on 30 April 2010, 19:05
right to start off i will say hello :) i have been following this site not long now for a couple of months.

i am a long term lover of the golfs especially the gti models, i know my way round a car pretty well and am very confident in my abilitys afterall everybodys got to start somewhere and what better way than doing it yourself! saves getting ripped off by garages as such.

well in the next couple of months ill be buying either a mk2 or mk3 gti 8v, preferably mk2 as they look mean as god intended them to :)

just wondering what it would take to convert a golf gti 8v to a storming vr6, i dont plan on doing this soon maybe in the winter time when im not driving as much so just wanting to plan ahead make sure i have everything :).

hope to hear some good responses thanks guys and girls

scott

welcome mate,i think it would be much easier buying a mk3 vr6 as converting one is alot of work and some cash,i've no experiance
in this but have been told by many.

Welcome to the forum

Would advise doing a Mk2 VR6 conversion but not a Mk3
