Title: 16v WUR early and late interchangeable?

Does anyone know if pre 90 spec 16v WUR will be any use on a '91 16v car?

It looks similar but unsure if I should take a punt on it.
 
The WUR on it just now is overfueling when warm so need another to fault test.

Have a niggling feeling that vw changed the setup pre/post 90 spec but can't remember.

Can anyone enlighten or clarify 100% for me?
