there are 200 tickets for camping available on the friday night, as this is our quiet night during preparation for the charity fair for blackpool school, which dominates saturday days programme. this must be observed and respected by all as they have been running for the last 10yrs and are being kind enough to share the showground with us over the weekend.there will be chilled tunes being played and a curry stand provided by a great local restaurant.
12 pm the sat the charity country fair starts and there will be a pre show and shine, at 6pm on saturday the showground will be turned over to our event with a further 300 tickets for camping available. we are providing 3 djs from Rayon Vert, Sam Kerridge, Mike Jones and Alex Chew, who have been invited to resident for slinkeys and will be mixing it up till late with a licenced bar and various food stalls ,including the curry stand.
sunday sees more music from Sam,Mike and Alex as well as other local djs playing a mix from dubstep to house. The plymouth calendar girls will be there in force collecting for a charity of their own, and putting on a bikini car wash.
there is also a graffiti competition with 12 places of entry available on the 8ft square cubes.
but the biggest part of the day is the show and shine which has 19 different categories, the reason for this is that we are serious about the cars! we know there are lots of sick watercooled vws out there and we wanna see them. our sponsors Carbon Mods are supplying the trophies.
we will have post show coverage in both PVW and GOLF+, giving us 1 and 2 pages respectivly.
admission for camping will only be permitted with presold tickets, admission for fri night before 8pm, admission for sat night before 11am or after 6pm.
tickets
£25- includes up to 2 nights camping with admission to Rayon Vert and show and shine on sunday.
£15 Day entry for sunday includes entry for show and shine
£10 Day entry for sunday
D2O, written D2O is going to be the next biggest and best show to hit the south west! Its a watercooled show, seeing as we dont have one down here, its much needed!!! I'm posting this up to see what interest we can gather from around the country.
A few people at SWDubs are getting together to setup a 3 day show on the 2-4th July this year. Things are still being put together but there will live music, DJ's food, really nice show ground, show and shine and more....
I'm going to get more info tomorrow when i go see the head guy about it all. So WATCH THIS SPACE! More info to follow including prices, events list, etc, etc.
Thanks and please get posting! :)
NOTE: for those that don't know, D2O stands for Heavy Water.
So heavy water = awesome version of water/H2O = awesome watercooled vdub show!

Looks like it could be a good show with a nice setting. Too far for me to ever be @rsed attending, but good luck with it. The advertising seems covered off, but I would suggest that your mate e-mails the guys who do the Leeds VW festival (Contact us page here --> http://www.vwfestival.co.uk/contact-us.php) as they have only been going a few years and admit themselves they made a few mistakes in the first couple of years. It might be worth asking their advice on what their errors were and what they did to combat them and any general advice when trying to start a new show.

Show has been postponed til next year now :(
Its such a shame after all the hours and hours of hard work that many have put in the last couple months to get this show going in such a short period of time, but we have been caught with our pants around our ankles for the second time and I, among many others are so so soooooo gutted!!!
Here is what the organiser has posted up:
hi everyone, it it with great frustration that i have to tell you all that the show has been postponed till 2011.
the reason for this is that it is the second time this yr that we have been shafted by the venue owner.
the charity fair and the farmer got scared about the numbers of people that they thought would come to the event and so phoned me to tell me that although they had promised to let us go ahead they were now renaging on their promise.
this is only good in that we will now have autonamy for the event and a whole yr to re organise it. if we managed to put a show together inside 8 weeks imagine how good its gonna be witha yr to plan it!
we really appreciate all the support that has been extended to us by all of you. we have a new venue in mind and will im sure be confirming it soon enough, but unfortunatly there is not enough time to rearange for this yr a third time!
all monies will be refunded it whichever way they were paid.
thanks again for your support
Andre & D2O crew.
-
Gutted for you guys. Hope it works out next year. :afro:
-
cheers bud, now we got a whole year to make next year bigger and better :)
-
Rank man that's a shame. Are you going to look for a new venue? 2 years in a row now so why should he get your money next year?
-
that sucks ar$e big time.
-

This only the first year of the event and we only started organising things a couple months back!
Oh yes there is going to be a new venue
Looking into stately homes and acres and acres of luscious grounds! This is what the plans were for next year anyway, so now we have time on our side, I reckon it will be awesome!!
-
Definately man, good luck!
