Well...
Depends on how cheap you mean.
New Rear Lights
De-Badge Grill
De-Badge the rear
Clear or Smoked side repaeters(replacing the orange stanard ones)
-
If its a 1.4, you might wanna start with some gti extrs, interior seats, smoked rear lights, plastic trims etc.
-
save your money.
get a gti.
-
cant save money have a baby! and the gti xtras r goin in for a lump change l8r on, my mounts match the vr6 ones
-
dont spent it on the under powered 1.4 pile of poo lol.
save it and give ya kid a better quality of life lol
or just keep the car running nicely :)
-
I hear the 1.6 MPI is the engine to have! is a vr6 eater
Naa but seriously lowering is always a good start either it be coilovers or springs and shocks.
Then wheels, change lights etc etc..

Mmmmm reluctant to say I'm running a 1400 now. Pure poverty spec too! mine came lowered with nasty wheels. Since then I've changed the rear lights for standard gti smoked ones. Smoked side repeaters and a debadge grill. Got nicer wheels too now.
Yeah it's probably the absoloute lowest spec golf around, but that just means you don't see too
many around :)
