anyone know where I can get a aftermarket r line rear bumper insert? Or something that looks like it with the grooves?
-
If you find out please let me know mate as im wanting one also.
From VW them selfs its £50 i think. Not shore it that the same price for the flushed one or one with the cut out in it already.
-
ok will let u know. I know mine is an aftermarket and the insert isnt smoothed at the corners...pics of mine are in http://www.golfgtiforum.co.uk/index.php?topic=152516.10

Aarrrrrrrhhhhaaaaaaaa. I see. Thats quite a lot diffarnt to my one mate. I think you might have to get a bit handy and make one.
-
yeah perhaps...next mod to do! LOL
-
Sorry to ruin this for everyone but you cannot buy the r-line inserts seperately!
If you want one you will have to pay the full price of the bumper, which at the moment is around 527 plus vat.
I have the bumper, and i made a boo boo with mine with the exhaust being near it, luckily it was fixable! But when i rang VW and asked for a new black insert? They said no!
So be careful!
I do have a spare insert though! As i said, i sorted mine luckily! By looking at your photos that is nothing like the r-line shape? You would seriously struggle to make the genuine r-line insert fit into there? Its a completely different shape
-
i agree with Jake, thats not a R-Line bumper. The edges are more rounded on the R-Line bumper

Apparently SWG motorsport sell them and YOU CAN buy them seperately.
-
think mine is just a plastic order from some company and cut down to size
