Title: 57i KN Induction Kits
Post by: UKflex on 05 August 2003, 21:48

Has anybody had any problems with KN inductions kits for a Mk3 8valva (ADY), i have been through 3 in the last two weeks (Boys at GSF are really P**sed off)

Basically where the air mass probe goes, the rubber keeps ripping, thus letting in dirt (leads to dirty injectors ????)

Planning on getting a refund for the KN, and considering getting a PiperX.

Has anyone got any suggestions on any induction kits??

Cheers

Flex..

Does it sound beefy like the KN and what does it do to the performance?

On your valva, where do you put the air temp sensor? does the piper have a hole in it to accomodate this.

the k&n arnt as good as they seem they have the paperfilter which actually restricts the air flow... get a piperx or a Eurosport cold air intake.....

Got my self a pipercross over the weekend, it sounds grate, the construction of it is much better than then K&N, and performance seems a little more responsive than its counterpart.

I think my next buy is the FK Power induction pipe (the alu one), has any one purchased one and is itr worth it?

The pipe cost 30 large inc post.
check out the web site and let us know what you's think!!!

The induction pipe is well worth the money, esp if you have a piperx ind kit.  It will really make it roar when you boot it at low revs, you will also notice that it really sucks the air when driving it hard.

I used to have a Piper X with a Samco hose on my 2.0 16V Cordoba, it was fantastic.

For ?30 its a steal !!!

K+N filters made of paper? thats the first i've heard of it. Mine as well as others i've had in the past are made of cotton fibre.

go for Pipper cross I have been told by lots of people who are really into their car that these are the best, I now have them and I do really recomend them I have had no problems with them.  The more you pay the better quailty you get.
