Damm... I got me some white worm on one of my Monza's....
Any one had this and know if the VW dealer sends the wheel off to be refurbured or replaces the wheel..? (I brought the car from Chiswick but I'd guess I could take it to my local dealer in Crawley under warrenty).

Take it to the dealer and demand a new wheel. They should give you a new one and ont refurb it.
I cant believe that VW had all this with the MK5 and are still doing it again with the MK6.

Not sure myself mate... Bloody annoying though. The white marks are under the lacquer. The wheel it self and all my others wheels are mint apart from this. I noticed the mark a few weeks ago and it seems to have got worse.

In which case I would take it back to the dealers anyway

How old are these wheels that are being affected?

The car / wheels are six months old.

This is the big problem with monza's , its a shame really becuse they are nice alloys except when they are kerbed nightmare to get them sorted out? I would just take the car back to the dealers and get a new wheel off them!!

They did it with the Mk3 Anniversary...wheel rims.
Then again on the Mk4 Anniversary...wheels and centre caps.
Then again on the Mk5 GT/GTI...wheels and centre caps.
And now on the Mk6.
VW don't learn that polished type wheels and UK roads don't mix.
How hard can it be to just get it right?
Most other manufacturers manage.

Its happened with all this type finish wheels it was a problem for Audis in the 80s.

Happy days....... Took my car back to my local dealership yesterday (VW crawley) to show them my dodgy alloy and they have ordered me a new replacement wheel without any argument. To be honest I was kind of expecting them to say that they would send the alloy away to be refurbed which I wouldn't have been happy with. Incidentally they have had a few customers with the same problem.

It was also a big problem with the mk5 monza II the dealers are use to dealing with it now they have had 5 years of ths happening to these wheels and back then most replaced them.

Good result. You spent enough on options and it is the least they could do.

i am sick of vw given us unsuitable tyres with our monza's. they're trying to save a bit of cash by skimping on the tyre width.
its not a case of, has your monza's been curbed, but who hasn't curbed their alloys?
i love the design, its unique and cool but i wished i didn't bother upgrading tbh.
