Title: Liquid Ice
Post by: OldGtimember on 20 April 2010, 21:28
The weekend just passed i was at my dads and broke out the jetwash etc.  he handed me this Turtle wax  "liquid ice"   its a synthetic wax/polish.  Tried it on a small patch to check it would not turn my car pink and cracked n with it.

Its od stuff..  need a very small amount but its like rubbing a very fine oil into your paint.  Says to leave it to dry and wipe off.  Took a bit longer than 5 mins to dry as it said on the tin, and i thought it was quite hard to remove. no powdery residue either as its liquid!   I was not liking it as i felt compared to something like auto glim it was hard work for not much difference.  How wrong i was...

They say you only get out what you put in.  A few days on i must say im well impressed with the stuff.   i have a very deep shine to the car, and its still clean!  Water seems to just run off it rather than sit on top in little circles. It does all the black plastic bits really well, and is quite good on the engine bay too. all this sh!tty volcanic dust also just ran off.   the old man says its quite expensive, but the amount i used to do the whole car, it will last ages.

Any of you lot used it got any experience of it.

Cheers G

I'm tempted to try it,big in the states. I like a clean car & some say  i'm a bit keen (lads at work etc ) but i've found some of the cheaper polishes can give a very good result.
