umm just pull the HT lead off, unscrew the plug, and put the HT lead on it, then get someone to turn the engine over whilst you look for a spark.
Not hard, or painfull.

Change dizzy & rotor arm, solved starting issues on my gf's AX, would turn over for ages before it would start, and liked to cut out randomly.

unscrew a plug and attatch it to the lead, then stick it through the engine lifting eyelet to check for spark, check rotor arm, check for fuel,
do what everyone else said and what i re-iterated!!! :P
