Title: Anyone know of a good FM transmitter?
Post by: dom on 19 April 2010, 20:09
Hey guys,

Sorry if this has already been covered, I have tried a few searches but can't find anything! My dad is after an FM transmitter so he can listen to his iPod in the car. I've heard that some are crap and should be avoided. Anyone got one? If so any recommendations?

Cheers

Thats what i've said to him, in my experience the one's i've used have been rubbish.

However, he's got 2 cars that he uses regularly and he also uses my mums car sometimes and wants to be able to listen to it in all 3 without replacing all the head units.

Cars are:

- 54 plate Ford Focus Estate
- 51 plate Ford Ka (my mum's)
- 1981 Morris Minor (fully restored, and tuned up a bit )

Is there anything that would work in both the Fords that is interchangeble?

with the fords if both stereos have changer capability then you can just buy a the dedicated connects2 ipod adapter part number CTAFOIPOD003-FORD  (£49.99) but to swap them between the 2 cars is not really feasible
as for the morris your best option would be a simple kenwood/sony with an aux in
