Following on from my other thread, I'm having another problem.
I now have found a pattern in the fault that keeps occuring. After I drive my car for the 1st mile into my journey, my car suddenly goes into limp mode and runs on 3 cylinders. If I then leave it for a few minutes, usually around 10 minutes, it jumps back into life and is fine for the rest of the day. I'm really confused and all I can think of is that I have some sort of temperature sensor problem? I have had it on a code reader the first time it happened and all it said was 'Cylinder 3 Misfire'. I pressume I have the same fault although I can't check as I don't own a code reader. It's going on one on Saturday hopefully. I'm pretty sure it's not a coil pack problem as all 4 are only a month old.
I have also been told I could have any of the following faults:
ECU Problem/Breakdown
Temperature Sensor Faulty
Faulty Injector
If anyone could shed any light it would be a great help as this is really annoying now.

try swapping the coil pack and injector and see if you can alter the cylinder missfire fault.

I've tried the coil pack but haven't touched the injectors yet. The fault still stays the same. I wouldn't feel confident messing around with them though.
It doesn't explain why its a mile into my journey though, and then fine after a while.

is it just the engine management light your getting? have you stripped the tape back on the coil pack wiring? mine was playing up when i first got it the wire had perished and was earthing on the head.

Funny you should say that, I thought it was the cables first so I have got a new wiring loom for the coil packs but have been told that this may not even solve the problem. I don't fancy paying to get it fitted and find it doesn't solve it. Surely a dodgy cable wouldn't break at the same time and place everyday.

yeah thinkin of it it would do it all the time.........where does your temp guage sit when warmed up?

Thats the confusing part, it sits at 90 all day long. Not long had the water pump changed too.

silly question have you tried cleaning the throttle body?

Yeah it was cleaned before I had my Remap about a month ago.
