Title: mk4 vw cd player

I've just got myself a VW single CD player off ebay.? It plays, accepts and ejects CDs fine, but the Eject and Select buttons do not light up when the headlights are on (like the buttons on the main Gamma head unit).? The long thin LED that shows you whether a CD is in or not works fine (regardless of headlights being on).?

Is there something special I need to do to get these lights to work, or is it broken?? All I did was plug in the connector on the end of the wire that came attached to the CD player into the spare (top) slot on the back of the Gamma head unit.? ???

you need the illumination loom, get it from the stealers (your best mates ;D ) costs about a tenner
