-
So do i... wow, this is much cheaper too!!
-
I was waiting for my iPhone to download it fully, then realised image fail!
Don't know the car mate. No doubt broke for parts.
-
Sorry about the photo, it is a picture of the original photo from 90s that I have retaken on my iPhone,
thanks
-
plate looks familiar :lipsrsealed:
-
Just checked the reg. Its not insured so it's either been scrapped or is sitting in a shed somewhere.
-
last change of keeper on 07/04/2007 and no scrap marker against it so still somewhere unless it was stripped and just the shell weighed in as with out an engine in the car doesnt require an end of life certificate
-
According to DVLA its sorn until 1/10/10, so its hiding somewere ready to come out and play
-
Im sorry, you guys can actually see the plate?

Hi there and congratulations, this was and still is the best 8v I have ever owned, for your info I bought this around mid 90's from a bloke who had owned it from new from memory lived in Sheffield at Totley who was in his late 40s so no boy racer , it had 96,000 on the clock and had full Vw service history, was a minter, I robbed it for just under £1600 back then, I then sold it 6/12 months on for over £3k to a guy in Doncaster who bought it for his daughter..
The car was completely original, paintwork was perfect, nice interior....
Would be nice to see some upto date photos of her...
Enjoy her...
Thanks
Russ

Roy mate that still looks as good as when i had it, wheels changed but still looks a nice motor, where you pick her up? was it still in Doncaster?
Looking forward to more photo's.....
All the best...
-
my brother bought it about 6 years back from a guy in sheffield... then my dad had it and i was promised it for my 21st birthday :D its been sat in my back garden for about 18 months while i found original bits and bond for her and re-painted/de-rusted the wheel arches and sills, had her mot'd last month just before my birthday, straight through! quite pleased with it so far!
i did spend quite a while polishing her aswel ha
what wheels did she used to have?
thanks
-
BBS crosspokes with the large BBS Centre caps from memory...
Glad to see it is still on the road, top car, enjoy it...
i'll wait to see the photo's at the weekend if it ever stops raining
You in Sheff then?
-
I thnk the wheels that are currently on the car are from a 16v, if my memory serves me right....
-
i thought the 16v came with 15" wheels? but i don't know much ha I'm looking at some bbs ra's for winter wheels and to get the bottle tops refurbished. i live in doncaster but in the navy so work away! so far she's coping with the miles! so all is good,
i could pop by one weekend I'm home if you want to see her again
-
Don't take my word for it on the wheels cos I don't know much either :embarassed:
If you around in Sheffield message me be good to see her again 15 years on
But you sound like a busy man if your in the navy... Plenty of travelling thou.. Enjoy it..
I have a photo somewhere of it, if I find it I will post it you... Pm u first for address obviously...
All the best
-
