Title: Mk3 Fog Lights
Post by: adzgti3 on 15 April 2010, 16:46
Hi all

Abit stuck in getting my fog lights to work,

Ive found a plug near the radiator, but that doesn seem to work.

What need to get them working?

Fitted the double foglight switch of a vr6 as my gti only had opition for the rear fog light, tryed that and the light comes on for the fronts.

cheers in adavance

Bulbs? Fuses? Are the fogs plugged in? Do you have the correct loom? You sure they aren't dummy fogs?

errrrrrrrrrrm

If the circle multi-plug clipped onto the slam panel wasn't working then you'd have no headlights either iirc

Have you actually got a front fog light loom or was it a random plug?

are you talking about the rears?......if so the original smoked rear light clusters on my gti were not hollowed out, so i broke out the plastic bits and scraped out the hole so bulbs would fit in, low and behold the rear fogs now work, a bit lazy on VW's part.....

bit like the mk4 switch for the wing mirrors, they have a position for folding away but it does nothing, same switch as used on the leon, which does fold away
