Title: MK5 Rear Bumper and Variants Please
Post by: dTEA on 15 April 2010, 12:18
Right i have a mk5 GTi...and want to colour code the lower half of the rear bumper but retain the inner plastic valance as it is.  I thought about the ED30 lower half, and chopping the standard one in, but it appears that they are differently sized...

I'm being told by the dealership that an option could be the GT lower...but fook me is it expensive!!  £360 for that alone...so I reckon its aftermarket?  Any other ideas, as i'm not keen on the smoothing of the standard as it is a daily...so the only other option is the ED30 rear bumper complete. :undecided:

Top one is the Votex rear valence, available with or without cutout. Expensive and as far as I know you can only buy them through dealers. The ED30 lower valence should be a direct fit, not sure how it would be different? You could always get a second lower valence and get that one coloured how you want it. They come up on ebay all the time :afro:

I want to do the same, I think the second picture is the one I'd go for. I just want the middle colour coded to my car just leaving the bottom valance. I think maybe gloss black bottom part to match the front of the car and the other parts of the car.
