Title: 8 valve or 16 valve

I am going to buy my first GTi but not sure whether I want an 8 valve or 16 valve, assistance is needed!!!

You want a 16v ;)

Has to be the 16V, I've owned 2 now there simply awesome  :P

the simple answer is:-

drive both and then decide what suits you best


also check insurance on both

if u like revving the nuts of cars then its a 16v, if you prefer a less effortless drive then its an 8v

Jeez that old chestnut again (sorry neaty this has been the longest running debate in history). Had two 8's and three 16's, both great fun to drive personally I prefer the 16v.
