New car arrived today, it is awesome
I do have two queries:
1. Is a turbo like 'whooshing' sound around 2750 revs normal under acceleration (goes by around 3250 revs)
2. More importantly the paint finish on the lower sill tray at the rear seems a little 'rough' - is this a case of 'they are all like that sir' or should I be raising to the dealer as a paint issue?

Does look a bit rough, will check mine tomorrow and let you know if it's different

Its rough on my black Golf but obviously not as noticeable as your white one!!
-
I thought it might be the case they are all delivered like it to a degree but white shows it up more?
-
Mine is as rough too but less noticeable as carbon grey

Its a thick undercoating they put on to help avert/minimise stone damage.

Yes thats correct. Its a stone chip protection so a much thicker paint.. hence the rough effect
-
Looks iffy, but as others have said, it's 'normal' and more noticeable on white/lighter finishes.
Hope you enjoy your new motor!!!

That looks normal to me as its a close up of the stone chip area. The bits hanging down are waxoyl runs.

Thanks for the responses everyone, I won't stress about it.
Loving my place back in the world with a 'proper' car after a few years out in the widerness!
