Im trying to line up my cam shafts after fitting a new chain, me being.. me (stupid) forgot to look at the timing marks before taking the cams out....
Now some one said you line the two round dots up with each other and the head... but there is two ways of doing it, can some one enlighten me please :smiley:

I think it's the first picture that is correct. I've not got much experience with these 16v engine yet though so don't quote me on it.

Well it seems the first pic was right, i have done it like that and seems fine, cant test yet as i dont have a cam belt :grin:

Check the link again - it is the second picture that is right.
The markings must line up and be level with the top of the cylinder head.

neither of them are right technically, the marks should point directly at each other and at the same time they will be level with the head
