just a quick one guys.... ive got a 1.3 1990 mk2 golf, in silver, but the problem is which silver!... i just bought 'diamond' silver from halfords having looked in there list of colours... but am unsure as to whether or not it is correct!... had the choice of 2 which were meant for my car... the other being 'satin silver'... which ones the right one?? or did veedub use 2 different types just to complicate things?!! or am i gonna have to buy both and go from there?!!...
Cheers chaps

get your paint code of the sticker in the rear boot panel or the sticker inside the service manual. then goto VAG and get touchup paint for that code
paint code is a 4 digit code
eg
LY30 is tornado red

AFAIK satin silver is the pearlescent, anything else (i think the official names were moonlight silver, and reflex silver on the newer cars) is metallic. If you can't tell the difference between pearl and metallic, then what i've just said was no help to you at all, sorry :-X
