Title: Legal requirments for driving a damaged car?
Post by: vwgolfowner on 14 April 2010, 04:14
Ok, So basically pulling out of a road, someone drove into my passenger side, and drove off (uninsured? drunk? who knows)

I wanted to know, how much of this damage, can I continue driving with legally, and still being insured for? Damage as follows:

Licence plate corner cracked
Indicators completely broken
'Glass' covering headlight shattered - But the headlight lamp still works.
Corner of bumper completely broken off.

Thanks for any help

Fix the lights and you'll be fine.

The number plate still needs to be showing the registration in full.
