I can see it being a lot more hassel moving the rad back then modding the bumper TBH.
Have a look undder the bonnet ans see what involved. There will be a lot of cutting and making new brakets to fit. I think the pipes would be ok as thay are quite flexable nut he rest i thnk would be a head ake.

I imagine you could push it back abit as the silicone pipes can take some flex, but i suppose it depends on how much the push back is?

I'm really intrested in this as I got a A4 FMIC which is a square block smaller than the rad slightly.

this was my plan also but looking at it i think its not as easy as id like, the way im getting round it is by getting rid of the aircon rad and some of the plastic cage it sits in, this frees up a fair bit, will be doing it soon so il get pics up, hope that helps?

Not a problem for me as I don't have air con in my GTI, but do let us know how you get along.

yeh it can be moved back and its not a hassle, you dont even need to take the rad out, you need bolts, rubber washers and a little bit time. Its all well and good chopping your bumper but to be honest most chopped bumpers look like crap

New mounting screws (m6 x 25mm) and some 10mm spacers. Bumper off, 4 screws out, 4 new ones in with the spacers
