Title: mk4 V5 suspension

got a 99 V5, it's quite a soft, wallowy drive (albeit very smooth and relaxed)
great for cruising but it doesn't inspire confidence for enthusiastic driving

is this a characteristic of v5 suspension
or parts getting old and tired?

and if it is just the way they are, what's the best option for upgrading?
I don't really want to go to extremes, just stiffen things up a bit... what do you suggest?

maybe suspension components from a vr6? or an aftermarket kit?
would poly bushing help and which ones specifically are going to improve things?

just had 4 brand new bridgestone turanzas fitted at £80 a corner so the cheaper the better for future mods!

Suspension is usually past it's best after about 60k. May be worth while changing the shocks and springs for a good quality after market choice and also maybe looking over some of the bushes to see how badly worn they are.
