could anyone tell me whats needed to convert a mk3 golf to vento front end? also is it a big job?
-
yep a can of petrol and a lighter.
-
Easy swap.
Lights / bonnet and grill, early lights have different plugs so try and source lights from a car the same year as yours.

I have just done this and its literally a half hour job. Just be careful with those grille clips...
Here is mine, the bonnet needs painting green (matt black for a temporary fix right now) and the grille is cack, but thats in the process of being sorted.

very common on ed 38 as are the smoked joey mod lights
-
I was going to do this, but after looking at mine after washing it, prefer how moody it looks from the front with standard lights and a debadge.
-
There is all the stuff you need on Ebay at the moment,
I think they look good but that's because I've done it to mine....

I had done different guises of the Golf front, and had got bored. At the moment I prefer the look of the Vento front end to anything I have run before. Ill like it even more when I change the grille.... :D
PaulD_88: Top Corner: The Pink Wheel Whores heart sticker...came from Wheelwhores itself and comes in a pack of two. This is the larger one, the smaller is on the back of my ladies Corsa. The Ultimate Dubs sticker came from Ultimate Dubs when I showed there this year and as far as I know is unavailable elsewhere.
Splitter: The I <3 speedbumps sticker came from Ebay, its the largest one on offer.

that looks awesome.
I'm really contemplating doing this to my car. Maybe after the summer

I must admit i do like the vento grill, has more curves :)
-
I really like the grille on that last conversion.
-
The thing is, they are common on forums, but hardly ever done properly (as in painting the bonnet and grille the same colour as your car)
And you dont see a lot at shows, even in the car park.

Thanks for the nice comments!

For mine, all this is in the pipeline. Was running a Nu Rat bonnet previously, with quad lights, Fk grille and bra, bought the vento front by my lady and we matt blacked the bonnet just to get it on for a new look. When time allows, bonnet is being resprayed dragon green, and I have sourced an earlier grille...

Tease, those Merc wheels look so good!
