Title: Suspension fitted, but problems
Post by: golfmk4owner on 12 April 2010, 18:32
Hi guys, a mate of mine fitted my Weitec Ultra GT suspension kit recently, and i noticed today that one of the springs is the wrong way around... but don't know which one!

LEFT SIDE

RIGHT SIDE

Which one is upside down? Also, what impact will this have?

Also, i had no break noise whatsoever, but now after fitting the suspension and wheels my drivers side front wheel squeals when i break. Any ideas why? I understand that a lot of cars "just do", but mine didnt beforehand, so any advice to solve this would be awesome
thanks guys!

Yea they changed them. Front and back are yellow now.

Exact same springs just different colour.

So Adam, are yours the correct way then? With the tighter coil at the top?

I think the tight coils should be at the bottom.

100% tighter at the top like I have above. They don't sit correctly on the bottom plate otherwise.
