Chaps need you advice here.
The dash lights on my MK1 are very very dim, initially I thought it must be the dimmer on the headlight switch but the lights on the fan controls etc are bright as a button. I am going to get a new headlight switch but wanted to se what you all thought before I forked out for one!!!!

I thought the dash lights were always that poor, so I wired in some new lights instead - looks much better now. I doubt it would be the switch if all the other lights seem fine as they come from the same source.

I remember when I had my car 6 years agi I was driving along and the dimmer risister set alight, after that thy couldnt be adjusted, someone could have removed the dimmer switch and not told you, Hope this helps?? ??? ??? ::)

Nah that cant be it as the dimmer still works, just doesnt brighten up enough!!!
-
are you sure all the bulbs are still working? i had a mk2 (mule for spares) which was really dim also, and definitely had missing lights which didn't help.
Regards,
Justin

Don't bother they are all like that, I spent days messing about changing bulbs, switches etc, still exactly the same!
