Title: Speedometer Cable replacing MK1 Cab 1986

Hi guys is it east to replace a spedometer cable do I have to take the dash out to replace it?

you have to take the clocks out as it connects to the back of them is this what you ment?

thanks Carrie ...to get the clocks out I need to take the dash out first boo hoo  :'(

no you dont, just unscrew the front housing, and take the switches out, unscrew the instrument pod and tilt forward to unclip the speedo cable. It takes about 10 minutes to do it. I've done it more times than I care to remember, it's very easy.

thats what i said the CLOCKS not the dash

So take the switches out from the side then tilt the clock  forward? The bolt that goes into the gearbox is that a pain to come off?
