Title: Vag com problem

Hi guys, I've searched and not really found the answer...

I wanna connect the laptop to the car via the OBD 11 lead and vagcom program i have installed. 409.1

I managed to get it to work the first time and it seemed to find no faults.... BUT I cant get it to work again. the vagcom program just seems to crash and not respond then closes down. I went into options and it seems to find a connection via com1 but when i click autoscan it crashes now  :sad:

What the hell am i doing wrong??

I'm running Windows Vista, and my laptop is a fujitsu-siemens. (but that should be a problem?)

I wonder wether its because i have a firewall running?? should i disable then try the scan again??

I read something about changing the com port settings??? but dont know how to do it. or if i need to do it.

hmmm confused.
