Won't that tear it ?

What about some high temp epoxy?

drill through the pancake pipe and the metal part of the hose, should hold it nice and the pancake pipe is broken where the clip goes and it the reason why it popped of, the 29psi of boost wouldn't have helped :lipsrsealed:

Off topic but...

Can you buy uprated hoses from anywhere for the gt150 or is it just for the 130s? I hear it's a big problem with them leaking or coming off etc.. do the uprated ones help at all for those of you that have got the ones for the 130 tdi..?

Or is there any other solution for after a remap

Any help appreciated

Or SFS Performance Hoses

they the same for 150 model then? Are the SFS ones better in your opinion?

Cheers for the quick reply

Can't really comment on the quality of either

I've got an SFS hose for my 130 and if I'm honest I don't rate it very highly

If it was my money I'd be looking at the Allard stuff but then even that has issues with regards to fitting  :undecided:

meh...

so is there anyway to lessen the risk of the pipes coming off more.. or does it generally happen after getting the cars either 130 or 150 remapped?

might not get mine done if the pipes are gonna leak/crack or pop off alot

All you can do is replace all the o-rings and clips BEFORE you remap and check the condition of the lugs on the pipes to help reduce the problems

Doesn't happen all that often. You could go all out and buy a Forge front mount intercooler, that replaces most of the OEM piping and connect the top intake pipe to the allard egr pipe removing the stupid VW lug clips.

right  i have the 150pd kit from sfs the egr to intercooler and intercooler to pancake pipe to the turbo.

first the pancake pipe pipes and turbo:  the pipes arrived and looked top notch but when came to fitting would not fit but after a phone call to lee at sfs he gave me advice and it worked he said the come longer in case you have after market pancake pipe like the forge one so i cut the hoses down to match the oem ones and the intercooler to pancake fitted easy but it pushed pancake pipe in to wheel a bit to much so i gently pushed the pipe on to the srew that it attches to with my foot was a bit rough and needed to remove wheel to do but not had a problem and everything sits nice and snug.

now the pancake to turbo, there has been many a problem with these on ukmivs as the connector pipe that sfs have made is around half to 1mm bigger now sounds like not much but it is. the pipe wont go in with out some wd40 on the seal and a pair on large pliers to squeeze the pipe on and i know thats sound like it shoud fit if its ment for that car but it does fit with a bit of effort and force and its never popped on or any problems so when these 2 pipes are on they are on and not going anywhere.  tip to cut hoses place jubalie clip around where you want to cut tighten and cut around using clip as guide.

egr to fmic pipes:
these are a pain list of problems:
1 touches abs fluid thing with green lid also touches the cambelt cover.
2 rubs/touches on oil filter houseing
3 nearly hits front fans
4 no attchements to keep pipe work stable

now theses seem a problem but all been overcome with a few tweaks as the bonus of this kit is has silicone joiners and can be twisted and tilted to sit right where allard does not. so far i have over come the touching on cambelt cover and abs container and put jublii clip bolt against the oil filter and pushed as much of the metal pipe you get in to the silicone as far as they will go i will post pics with the tweaks i have done tommorrow or wed but this sfs kit is good and the customer service has been second to none as i had ordered the wrong map sensor size ppipe they sent one out next day delivey and this was at 4 in the afternoon lso redone me a pipe that comes from the egr and made it longer for me so it stop touching the cambelt cover and abs fluid thing also told me if i cut and made a mistake they would replace the pipe for me.
they also sent me some foam backed sticky silicone to stop the rubbing and keep the vibration down of which i had alot but it turned out to be my cklutch as since having that fixed it does not vibrate and the noise yu get from this kit is brill turbo spool up and lovely noise.

now i dont know of anyone with allard kit seen a few people on ukmivs fit the allard one but they never have followed the thread up which i hate so never rwally heard owt about that kit other than a small few have put its a bad fitment .

go with sfs plus you get 25% off price with being a member on here and ukmivs just tell them your a owners club member.

hope this help messgae me if you want to know owt else.

alternative is to go see a stainless stell pipe fabricator to make you a custom job which i widh i had done i have seen 2 people get this done and it looks great and beacuse its all etal there is no expansion from the boost like silicone so you gett faster spool up and a bit better allround.
