I have a 1.4 16v, The thing I think ur on about is behind the water tank and before the coolant or maybe its behind both but its like a black part and if u put ur finger on it it feels like its ticking? Maybe im wrong here but thought i'd say what I thought. Its high up like in ur face too, its not hidden or anything like that. If its the right thing mate. I know it is called a cannister of some sort but im clueless wen it comes to engines really.
