Post by: Leroy on 07 April 2010, 13:03
As above, going to fit my momo wheel, dont want the airbag light on, searched the site and got an answer and the part number, rang vw and its £30 odd???

The guy from vw said you only need the resistor but from them its the whole kit.

Has anyone got a cheap fix? maplins jobby or something???

The later mk3 golf which has a drivers airbag  has a resister behind the glove box if it doesn't have a passenger airbag fitted. You will have to remove the glove box to be able to get to it, then its a case of just unplugging it

K or m though? I've seen resisters labelled 3.3k ohms and 3.3m ohms? Not sure if there the same thing or different?

Have you tried Momo

momo sell them as part of a £50 kit (which is basically a resitor, wires and instructions!)
