Hey guys sorry if the answer is posted up somewhere on site but i am still a newbie ;)

done a service on me mk5 golf yesterday and was just wondering if there was anyway i could reset the service indicator in the dash?

Use the mk5 section for these questions.

Do a search too, I'm sure this has been asked and answered before.

VAGCOM will reset it.

sorry i did find it on site somewhere before how to do it without the vagcom something about holding down 0.0 and turning key. i can't seem to lacate it :(

my one has a spanner for the service and none of the below :(

Just sorted it out guys anone else that needs to reset theres.

When the car is off, hold the reset button on the right side of the dash (0.0). Then turn the key on (not the engine) and once the service now words come out on the display press the minute(m) button on the right. That should turn the service now off.

FYI the re-set in this way only works if your car is set to T&D, not the long-life regime. :afro:
