Title: rear wheel allingment?

should my rear wheels tow in or out? the near side rear tows out and the off side rear runs pretty much parralell with the front,so is one of my stub axles bent or can this be adjusted,and if it can what should it be in or out?

It doesnt matter what car it is.

The rear end of the car should toe in. That means that if you are looking from the back of the car the front of the rear wheels should point inwards towards the front of the car. This will only be a few degrees so would be very hard to check by eye.

Or do you mean camber ?

If this is the case the top of the wheel should be further towards the middle of the car than the bottom. Again this will only be a few degrees.

For both of these the wheels should be as explained on all cars its only the exact measurment on how much that will change from car to car

it does matter, because specs are different across the range, plus the options for adjustment if any arnt the same for all models

hi guys sorry its a mk2 golf gti 16v,its not the camber thats a prob its the fact that the nearside wheel is defenatly towing out and the offside runs almost parallel

its not adjustable!change stub axle and maybe rear beam.some track cars use shims to run - rear camber.but toe is vey hard to change.
